The Big Easter Bunny Egg Hunt
Join us for a very special adventure this Easter weekend!
Children will explore the gardens to search for six different coloured eggs hidden around the grounds. Once they’ve collected them all, they can return to exchange their eggs for a prize.
Keep your eyes peeled…
Somewhere in each session a rare Golden Egg will be hidden. If you’re lucky enough to find it, you can trade it in for an extra special reward!
Be sure to look out for the Easter Bunny who will be happy to pose for a special photo!

Spring Scavenger Trail
Hop into spring with a fun-filled adventure here at Archerfield Walled Garden. Our Spring Scavenger Trail invites little explorers to wander the grounds, searching for hidden clues and seasonal surprises.
Children will find letters tucked among springtime displays and special clue points along the route. Once all the letters are discovered, unscramble the mystery word and return to the till to claim a prize. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the fresh air, stretch little legs, and add a touch of Easter magic to your visit.
Solve the puzzle, claim your prize, and enjoy a brilliant spring day out with us.

Archerfield 10k
Archerfield 10k, Saturday 9th May
Whether you're training for a marathon, attempting a PB or are simply looking to up your fitness, this is the event for you.
Run, walk, or jog this scenic mixed-terrain route which takes in the Archerfield Estate and surrounding beauty spots. Enjoy a speedy start with the first few k's mostly on tarmac, before striding out onto the sands of Yellowcraig beach to see the majestic Fidra Island in front of you. Once your sandy steps are complete, you'll travel back towards the finish along a series of tree-lined trails, crossing the finish line close to our beautiful beech walk.

Those that live locally and would like to register ahead of the event can do so on Friday 8th May, from 3pm - 5pm in the Garden Cafe.
Results
This is a chip timed event. Your finish time will be sent to your mobile number after you’ve crossed the finish line. If you would like a print out, you can visit the chip timing van on site. The full results will be posted online at perfecttimingscotland.co.uk/results/ after the race.
Bringing friends or family?
There’s lots for your cheering squad to get on with while they wait for your return. The Garden Café serves a range of breakfast and brunch options, while the Shop is full of gifts, homeware, womenswear and more. There's plenty to explore outdoors too with acres of Grounds including a Fairy Trail, Pond, Willow Walk and beautiful Gardens.

Bag Drop
We will not have a secure bag drop and won't accept responsibility for loss or damage to posessions left unattended while you run. We recommend you leave items of value in your car or with a friend / family member.
Parking
We have two car parks here and also two overflow car parks, all of which are free of charge.
Dogs
Due to the number of runners, dogs are not permitted to run with you at this event. However, they are welcome at Archerfield Walled Garden, so if you have a friend or family member to leave them with while you run, they can enjoy all areas as long as they are kept on a lead (excluding the outdoor section of the Garden Café where there is a children's play area).
Medical Assistance
The Scottish Ambulance Service will be on site should you have any medical concerns and our staff and marshals around the course will be able to help you if you need support.
Water Station
There is one water station on the route which is situated approximately at the 4/7k point, offering two opportunities to rehydrate. This will be located close to the car park at Yellowcraig.
Toilets
There are public toilet facilities located on the route at Yellowcraig car park.
Safety notice
You will be running on some uneven surfaces for example on the tracks through the woods. Runners should come adequately prepared for uneven, gravel or mud surfaces. The route will be well sign posted, with marshals sited at various intervals. Safety is paramount and we expect runners to always follow the advice of marshals especially at points where runners are on public roads. To ensure runner safety, the wearing of earphones is not recommended. As Yellowcraig beach is a public beach there will be other non runners present and some may have off the lead dogs - please be vigilant.
Cancellation Policy
This event is strictly non-refundable. In the eventuality of Archerfield Walled Garden cancelling the event due to adverse weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will offer you a full refund of your registration fee minus any booking fees paid.

You will work from scratch, using sustainable and foraged materials from our Gardens and estate to create a beautiful natural wreath, with a base that can be re-used in the future. The Santa Experience
Step into the magic of The Santa Experience this Christmas!
Arrive early to write a letter to Santa in our Barn and get ready for the festive adventure to begin. Follow Santa’s cheerful elves and drop letters into the magical well. Next it’s time to join Santa in the cosy Christmas cabin to listen to tales all the way from the North Pole. Each child will then have a special moment with Santa himself, capturing a precious photo together, before the elves help them select a gift to take home. Has your Santa letter been wished away? Babies under 1 years old attending with a paying sibling can attend for free but won’t receive a gift from Santa. No ticket is required.
Buggies cannot be accommodated in Santa's Cabin so please be ready to leave these at our buggy parking area before the show start time.

Every booking must include at least 1 child ticket and 1 adult ticket.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets which don't match the above criteria will not be valid and we reserve the right to cancel and refund these.
Quieter Shows
Enjoy the same brilliant event, but with a few subtle tweaks geared towards children with ASN and sensitivity to sound and busy spaces. At our quieter shows, there will be less people in Santa's Sorting Office and no loud noises or surprises from the cast. Children can leave the cabin if they need to during the show and our team will be on hand to assist where it is helpful. This year we have three quieter shows available to book:

Cancellation Policy
Should we have to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified by email with as much advance notice given as is possible and a full refund will be given.
Accessibility
The path leading into our Gardens is covered in fine gravel which wheelchairs should be able to navigate with ease. A permanent ramp will be in place so that wheelchair users can enter Santa’s cabin with ease.
Arrival & Santa Letters
Ensure you have your tickets with you when you arrive. You can bring either a print out or show us them on your phone. Please arrive 15 minutes before the time stated on your ticket, to allow for writing letters to Santa. Should you wish to bring letters written at home, 5 minutes ahead of your scheduled time slot is plenty. Please be aware that letters 'wished away' at the well cannot be returned.
Refund Policy / Date & Time Swaps / Ticket Transfers
Tickets are non-refundable but can be swapped for other available time slots. In order to action a time slot or date change, login to your Universe account. Late Arrivals
If you are running late for your booked time slot, please call us on 01620 388588 at the earliest opportunity. It is unlikely we will be able to accommodate you on a later show due to lack of space in the cabin, however, our team on the floor will be happy to check for any available slots on the day. Tickets cannot be refunded due to late arrival so please build in enough time for your journey.
Photos & Video
We encourage you to take photos and videos at the event and we would love you to share them with us on social media using @archerfieldwalledgarden on Instagram and @AWalledGarden on Facebook. All we ask is that during Santa’s story no video footage, or flash photography, is taken so as not to spoil the surprise for others who have yet to attend the event.

Our annual Christmas Shopping Night returns on Thursday 27th November. Join us for an evening of merriment and indulge in a spot of shopping as the countdown to Christmas begins! A few of our brilliant suppliers will be with us on the night offering samples of their products and Pencaitland Community Choir return to provide a fitting musical backdrop. Don’t miss the arrival of a very special guest who will turn on our giant Christmas tree lights and for those who would like to join us for some food, the Garden Café will be open serving a special festive menu.
