Café Supervisor
Reporting to: Café Ops / Café F.O.H Manager
Job description
The role involves the following key responsibilities:
Supporting the Cafe Ops Manager and Café FOH Manager by supervising and leading a team of staff in the day-to-day operations in our Garden Café
Undertaking any tasks and procedures set out by the Café Managers, as well as supporting colleagues in their daily tasks
Promoting the highest standards of customer care and service
Assisting with training and onboarding of new staff

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with experience supervising a team in a Café or Restaurant environment
Shifts will include working alternate weekends and based on working an average of 28-35 hours per week. Additional weekend work may be required at peak times of the year such as Easter and Christmas.

Visual Merchandising Assistant
The Visual Merchandising Assistant is responsible for creating and maintaining engaging, commercial, and brand-aligned displays across the retail shop and plant areas. This role ensures products are presented in a visually compelling way that enhances customer experience and maximises sales.
You will work closely with the Visual Manager to deliver seasonal storytelling, promote new collections, and reflect the garden-led aesthetic of Archerfield Walled Garden.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Merchandising & Display:
Design and implement creative in-store displays that reflect seasonal themes and product launches.
Maintain high visual standards across retail spaces, including plant displays, homeware, gift areas, and food sections.
Style products to tell a cohesive story that aligns with our brand
Monitor display effectiveness and make commercial adjustments as needed.
Stock & Presentation:
Replenish stock while maintaining visual standards
Ensure products are correctly priced and labelled
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of display fixtures and shelving
Support stock rotation for seasonal and perishable items.
Collaboration & Planning:
Work alongside retail and café teams to ensure a consistent visitor experience.
Assist with event styling for seasonal markets, workshops, and garden events.
Contribute ideas for seasonal campaigns (Spring planting, Summer living, Autumn, Christmas gifting).
Support promotional activity and point-of-sale material placement.
Customer Experience:
Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers
Offer styling suggestions and product recommendations
Act as a brand ambassador for Archerfield Walled Garden
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Experience in visual merchandising, retail display, or styling (3 years min)
Strong eye for detail, colour, texture, and layout
Confidence in styling mannequins
Ability to use power tools for installations
Creative flair with commercial awareness
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Desirable:
Experience in garden retail, lifestyle, or homeware environments.
Photography or social media styling experience.
Experience in seasonal retail environments.
